Decorator

Based at our Watford Office

ASAP Start Required

We are looking for an experienced painter and decorator with a minimum NVQ level 2 trade qualification. Must be hardworking, presentable and reliable with clean driving license. Works will primarily be North London and Home Counties, you would be often working in small teams of 2-4 on sites typically in or around domestic properties.

Main Responsibilities:

• Protection of existing surfaces and finishes before starting works
• Stripping and preparing walls for decoration
• Minor crack repairs to walls, ceiling and woodwork
• Preparing and hanging lining and finish papers
• Preparing and applying emulsion to walls and ceilings from varying manufacturers.
• Preparing and finishing woodwork to a good standard

The following are essential:

Previous experience within the construction industry working on domestic projects with a recognised skills qualification.

• Ability to communicate with a variety of clients and construction professionals
• Presentable
• Problem-solving and common sense thinking.
• Ability to read and understand the schedules of work.
• Full clean driving licence.
