On Monday 23rd March following the Prime Minister’s announcement to stop all non-essential works and restrict movement, we took the decision following the making safe and secure of all current projects to cease site work and implement a remote working programme for our office and management staff. We took these swift steps as we felt, at that time, it was not possible to operate under the Government’s guidelines and maintain the safety and wellbeing of our staff and clients.
Over the last few weeks, we have been closely following Government and Industry guidance including that from the Construction Leadership Council and Build UK and as well as stringently reviewing the company’s systems and making changes we need to enable us to return to work safely.
Our new systems of work are now in place to ensure we minimise the amount of people and time on site and that we fully adhere to rules around social distancing. We will continue to operate a work from home policy for those that can. We will also assess each enquiry against robust criteria before deciding whether to proceed and visit site.
With our new systems implemented, we feel confident that we can return to suitable sites which have been assessed and confirmed as being safe. We are therefore very pleased to announce that we have now resumed our operations through a phased return to work from Monday 11th May 2020.
Over the last seven weeks our management team have been continually dealing with new enquiries and assessing any new projects which can commence. Our first goal will be the safe completion of any sites that were left unfinished providing it remains safe to do so.
As ever, the top priority for Falcon Structural Repairs remains the health and wellbeing of our team, our clients and the community. We will of course regularly continue to review all site practices especially with any changes made to government and medical guidance.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our clients and the team across our four offices for their patience and understanding to the current situation. I am looking forward to getting the business back to some site activities, through safe working practices, over the coming weeks.
Thank you, keep safe and stay alert.
Kind Regards
Ross King
